Creative Strategy

Creatives that don’t just look good, they work.

Great design earns attention. Great strategy turns that attention into action. I plan the message, the look and the testing behind your ads, social content and brand assets, so every creative has a clear job to do.

Brand design and performance marketing in one place, so what looks right also performs right.

Message before designEvery creative starts with a clear idea of who it speaks to and what it should make them do.
Brand-consistentOne recognisable look and voice across ads, social, web and sales material.
Tested, not guessedConcepts are tested against real results, and the winners shape what comes next.
The problem

Why creatives so often fall flat.

Good-looking work that does not move the numbers usually has a strategy gap behind it.

01

Pretty, but pointless

The design is polished, yet nobody can say what it is meant to make the viewer do.

02

No clear message

Trying to say everything in one creative means the right person never hears the one thing that matters to them.

03

Inconsistent brand

Ads, social posts, website and sales decks all look different, so the brand never builds recognition or trust.

04

Creative fatigue

The same ad runs for too long, the audience tunes out and costs quietly climb.

05

Guessing instead of testing

Decisions are made on opinion and taste rather than on what the audience actually responds to.

06

Design and marketing work apart

Designers do not see the results, marketers do not shape the design, and the feedback loop never closes.

My approach

Decorative design versus strategic creative.

Both can look great. Only one is built to perform.

Decorative design

  • Starts with colours, fonts and trends
  • Judged by how it looks and by personal taste
  • One-off pieces with no shared system
  • Results arrive afterwards and rarely change the next design

Strategic creative

  • Starts with the audience, the offer and the goal
  • Judged by attention, clicks and enquiries
  • A consistent brand system that scales across channels
  • Performance data feeds straight into the next round of ideas
The process

How I build your creative strategy.

Four steps that take you from a vague idea to creatives you can measure and improve.

01

Research & insight

I study your audience, competitors and past results to find what makes people stop and care.

02

Concept & messaging

We settle the core message and a handful of angles worth testing, before any design work begins.

03

Design & produce

I design the creatives in your brand style, from ads and social posts to web visuals and sales material.

04

Test & refine

Concepts go live, results come back, and the best performers guide what we make and what we drop.

What’s included

FAQs

Common questions about creative strategy.

What is the difference between design and creative strategy?

Design is how something looks. Creative strategy decides what it should say, who it should say it to and how success will be measured, before the design is made. The strategy makes the design work harder.

Do you also create the designs yourself?

Yes. I handle both the strategy and the design, so nothing gets lost in a handover between a planner and a designer, and ideas move faster from concept to finished creative.

How do you decide which creatives to test?

We start from what we know about your audience and competitors, pick a few distinct angles and test them against each other. Results then tell us which message and style to build on.

How often should creatives be refreshed?

It depends on your budget and audience size. A good sign is performance slipping on an ad that used to work, such as rising costs or fewer clicks. We plan new variations ahead so a fresh option is ready when that happens.

Can you work with my existing brand guidelines?

Absolutely. I can follow your current guidelines, or help tighten or build them if they are incomplete. Pair this with my Landing Page CRO work so your ads and pages feel like one story.
